Only just heard about this and I probably can't make it but if you're in Vancouver and you're younger and less tired than me, then this show offers a great opportunity to hear two of the city's most intriguing experimental music acts, in a pretty cool venue:

I hadn't looked at the blog for a few months (on account of being in Papua New Guinea, partly) but just thought I'd drop in and say you always manage to make me nostalgic for a) vancouver b) experimental music and c) the '90s -- no small feat these days!

Well, Vancouver's experimental music scene is pretty vibrant right now but it's not '90s enough for my taste.

I'm sure Brooklyn's much cooler. Hundreds of skinny hipsters roaming around in ironic Alice Donut t-shirts.

Brooklyn is kinda awful. I don't know about the quality of the music but the sincerity quotient is definitely lacking. I'll take Vancouver any day.

Besides, I'm living on the upper west side now...the green fields of brooklyn hipsterdom grow ever more remote.
